Deletion in backups
Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups until they age out. As part of our restore runbook, we check the deletion ledger and re-apply deletions completed after the backup timestamp before a restored system returns to service, so deleted data does not reappear.
Account deletion
Deleting a workspace is immediate and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no recovery window. In the same request we end access for every member, hard-delete the workspace's deals, documents, models and results, and remove its stored files. A file that storage cannot remove at once is queued for removal under the purge target in the table above. We issue a content-free deletion receipt. Copies in encrypted backups expire on their own schedule and are never restored (see Deletion in backups). To keep a copy of your data, download it before you delete: the owner can do that from the Team page, or from the plan page when no plan has been chosen or a beta has ended.
